WAITING LISTS FOR ELDERLY AND GENERAL OCCUPANCY PUBLIC HOUSING SITES OPEN NOW - SEPTEMBER 16, 2026
On August 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., the Los Angeles County Development Authorityā€™s (LACDA) Public Housing Program began accepting registrations for its 16 Siteā€‘Based Waiting Lists (SBWLs), 10 of which are elderly-designated properties.
Interested persons may apply to one or more of the SBWLs through September 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The waiting lists for small sites* (italicized below) will close once 1,000 applications are received, or on September 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., whichever comes first. The Countyā€™s Section 8 waiting list remains closed.
Registrants may choose, based on eligibility, to register on one or more of the 16 SBWLs. All applicants will be selected from each waiting list in order of admission preferences and then by date and time.

Interested persons may register here, or call (626) 586-1522 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for assistance.
Applicants may also visit one of the following locations from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed for lunch from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.) for in-person registration assistance.
