Medina first came to the LACDA in May 2019 and served as the manager for the Palmdale office. Medina joined the LACDA with a passion for helping families build better lives and live in better neighborhoods. Medina has proven to be a valuable Housing Assistance Division management team member and an invaluable Palmdale office manager. Medina brought a fresh new perspective to the Palmdale team that has lent itself to necessary and timely changes and improved the morale and cohesiveness within the Palmdale office. Medina’s insight and experience in the housing industry have proven beneficial to the Palmdale team.

Medina began her career as a case manager with Quadel Consulting and Training for the Chicago Housing Authority. Over the arc of her career in the affordable housing arena, she has served in various leadership and executive leadership roles. Before joining the LACDA, she served as the Deputy Director of the HCV Program and ADA/504 Program Coordinator for the District of Columbia Housing Authority. The District of Columbia Housing Authority serves 50,000 families through traditional affordable housing, tenant- and project-based housing vouchers, and mixed-income properties.

Medina also served as HCV Director for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale and held various positions with Nan McKay and Associates as a Supervisor, Consultant, Assistant Program Manager, and Program Manager at the Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) and the Chicago Housing Authority.

Medina has provided various direct program management services, operational support, performance improvement tools, consulting, and training for PHAs. She successfully provided case management services to PHAs while incorporating a customer-focused culture within each agency. Further, she has extensive experience in program and project designs and has earned a reputation for building and leading strong collaborative team efforts.

Medina holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University.
