Linda has been the Director of the Community Development Division since May 2021. She has been with the LACDA since 1989 and has over 30 years of experience administering Federal programs to include the Los Angeles Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. She has also been involved with recovery programs including Los Angeles County COVID-19 Rent Relief, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, CDBG-Recovery, CDBG- CV, and ESG-CV. With the additional funding provided through the American Rescue Plan, the Division will administer a Child Care Provider Grant Program.
During her tenure, Linda has built strong collaborative relationships with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the California Department of Housing and Community Development, Board of Supervisors offices, County Departments, Participating Cities, Community-Based Organizations, and colleagues within LACDA. The Lead Free Homes LA, Bringing Families Home, and Community Care Expansion Programs have been developed and administered on behalf of the Departments of Public Health, Children and Family Services, and Mental Health, respectively.
Linda received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of California, Riverside, and Master’s in Public Administration degree from the California State University, Long Beach. Linda currently serves on the Executive Board of the National Association for County Community and Economic Development, which is an affiliate of the National Association of Counties.
