Linda Jenkins is the Director of the Community Development
Division at the LACDA. She has been with the agency since 1989 and has over 30
years of experience administering Federal programs, including the Los Angeles
Urban County Community Development Block Grant and the Emergency Solutions
Grant Programs. Linda has also been involved with recovery programs such as the
Los Angeles County COVID-19 Rent Relief, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid
Rehousing Program, and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
During
her tenure, Linda has built strong collaborative relationships with various
departments and organizations, including the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development, the California Department of Housing and Community
Development, Board of Supervisors offices, County Departments, Participating
Cities, Community-Based Organizations, and colleagues within the LACDA. She has
developed and administered programs like Lead Free Homes LA, Bringing Families
Home, and Community Care Expansion Programs on behalf of the Departments of
Public Health, Children and Family Services, and Mental Health.
Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the
University of California, Riverside, and a Master's in Public Administration
from California State University, Long Beach. She currently serves on the
Executive Board of the National Association for County Community and Economic
Development, an affiliate of the National Association of Counties.
