LACDA Jurisdiction
The Los Angeles County Development Authority's (LACDA) jurisdiction includes all unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.  There are 88 incorporated cities in Los Angeles County and 18 have their own public housing agencies:

Compton
Culver City
Glendale
Hawaiian Gardens
Hawthorne
Inglewood
Long Beach 
Los Angeles
Norwalk
Pasadena
Pico Rivera
Pomona
Redondo Beach
Santa Monica
South Gate
Torrance
* Baldwin Park serves the cities of South El Monte and Monrovia.

 

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
The LACDA serves the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County (areas that are not part of a city) and 62 incorporated cities. Renters with a Section 8 voucher may look for housing within these eligible areas

Public Housing Program Only
The LACDA has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Long Beach Housing Authority to permit residents of the City of Long Beach to be classified as in-jurisdiction applicants for housing at the Carmelitos Public Housing development only.

ELIGIBLE AREAS FOR OTHER PROGRAMS 

Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program: VASH vouchers may also be used in the Cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Baldwin Park, Norwalk, Burbank, Long Beach, Redondo Beach, and Kern County jurisdictions. 

Homeless Incentive Program (HIP):  Owners with available units in the Cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Inglewood, Baldwin Park, Norwalk, Burbank, Long Beach, Redondo Beach, Kern County, and LACDA’s regular jurisdictions may also participate in this Program.
