NOTICE TO PUBLIC OF CANCELLATION OF PROJECT

The public is invited to review the following cancelled project of the County that had been included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Action Plan, which identified projected use of funds for July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

FIFTH DISTRICT PROJECT

Agency Name:  Quality of Life Center
Program Name:  Bright Futures Scholars Program
Project Number: 601063-24
Original CDBG Amount: $60,000

Description: This new project would have provided after-school mentoring services in academic and personal development to junior high and high school students primarily from schools in the Altadena area.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, indicating they are unable to provide these services.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC OF FUNDING FOR NEW PROJECT

The public is invited to review the following proposed off-cycle project of the County to be included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Action Plan, which identifies projected use of funds for July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Program Name:  DPR-Senior Programs (Stephen Sorensen Park)

Description: This new project provides activities for seniors at the Stephen Sorensen Park - 16801 E. Avenue P, Palmdale.  These activities will provide physical and mental wellbeing, and socialization for seniors to support and maintain good health.
