The public is invited to review the following proposed off-cycle project of the County to be included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Action Plan, which identifies projected use of funds for July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
SECOND SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT PROJECT

CDBG Allocation: $150,000
Description: This new project will provide support for the East Rancho Dominguez Special Vending District for sidewalk vendors operating in the Second Supervisorial District, which has led the development of the District as a strategy to support local economic activity. The project will serve sidewalk vendors and micro-entrepreneurs operating in the East Rancho corridor, many of whom are low income small business owners who rely on vending as their primary source of income. This activity meets the HUD National Objective as a project serving Low- and Moderate-Income Area (LMA) under HUD Code 18B.
