Description: This new project will provide after-school, sports, and music programs to support students' social, emotional, and academic wellbeing, mitigating COVID-19’s lasting impacts. The pandemic severely restricted access to sports, arts, and quality academic engagement, affecting many youths mental, physical, and academic health. The locations where the Program will be offered are: South Whittier School District/Lake Marie Elementary School (10001 Carmenita Road, Whittier), Loma Vista Elementary School (13463 East Meyer Road, Whittier), McKibben Elementary School (10550 Mills Avenue, Whittier), Los Altos Elementary School (12001 Bona Vista Lane, Whittier), Carmela Elementary School (13300 Lakeland Road, Whittier), and Richard L. Graves Middle School (13243 East Los Nietos Road, Whittier). This activity meets the HUD National Objective as a project serving a Low- and Moderate-Clientele under HUD Code 05L.
