Purposeful Aging Los Angeles 2.0

 

PUBLIC NOTICE

The public is invited to review the following proposed off-cycle project of the County to be included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Action Plan, which identifies projected use of funds for July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024, for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Original CDBG Amount: $700,000

Description:  This new COVID-19 related project provides funding for the planning administration of the Purposeful Aging Los Angeles 2.0 (PALA 2.0).  The initiative will prepare Los Angeles County for the growing older adult population.  PALA 2.0 is a cross sector initiative that leverages strategic partnerships between public agencies, private sector businesses, and community-based organizations to create a strong network of aging services.  The location is 510 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. This activity will meet the HUD National Objective as General Administration under HUD Code 21A.

This is a 5-day notice.  Anyone wishing to comment should submit written comments by May 27, 2024 to the attention of:
